हाथर्स: उत्तर प्रदेश के हाथर्स में सत्संग के दौरान कुचले जाने से मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 116 हो गई है। मरने वालों में सात बच्चे भी शामिल अब तक की खबर के मुताबिक, सत्संग कार्यक्रम में करीब 80,000 लोग इकट्ठा हुए थे, भीड़ ज्यादा होने के कारण भगदड़ मच गई, उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस ने शुरुआत में यही कहा था
भोले बाबा उर्फ बिस्वा हरि उत्तर प्रदेश के साथ-साथ दिल्ली, राजस्थान, हरियाणा जैसे राज्यों में एक लोकप्रिय स्वयंभू धार्मिक गुरु हैं। उनके अनुयायी प्रत्येक मंगलवार को हाथर्स, अलीगढ़ में विभिन्न स्थानों पर ऐसे सत्संग का आयोजन करते थे। पुजारी वहां मौजूद रहते थे
मालूम हो कि करीब 26 साल पहले भोले बाबा उर्फ बिस्वा हरि ने सरकारी नौकरी छोड़ने के बाद धार्मिक गुरु के तौर पर प्रचार करना शुरू किया था. उनके इन सत्संगों में भक्तों को एक विशेष जल दिया जाता था, बाबा का दावा था कि इस पानी को पीने से भक्तों की सभी समस्याएं दूर हो जाएंगी। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस जल को पाने की आशा में बाबा द्वारा आयोजित सत्संगों में बड़ी संख्या में लोग इकट्ठा होते थे। जिसका परिणाम मंगलवार को दुखद रहा
मंगलवार को भी सत्संग में आस-पास के गांवों और यहां तक कि अन्य राज्यों से भी बाबा के भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ी, बाबा के अनुयायी सत्संग में भक्तों के लिए भोजन की व्यवस्था करते थे। इस दिन, लोग सत्संग के बाद जल्दी में एक साथ बाहर आने की कोशिश करते हैं, तभी एक दूसरे के ऊपर गिर जाता है। और रौंद दिया गया पुलिस कर्मियों की कम संख्या और अनियोजित घटनाओं के कारण स्थिति नियंत्रण से बाहर हो गई
